Verdone Landscape Architects (VLA, Inc.) was selected by the Colorado/Wyoming Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects to receive the prestigious Land Stewardship Award Designation and a Merit Award for its work on 3 Creek Ranch, a 710 acre residential community and championship golf course in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The Land Stewardship Award recognizes projects that exemplify the stewardship of our landscape and highlights projects to be used as precedents for future projects by other landscape architects. VLA, Inc. also received a Merit Award in recognition of outstanding accomplishments in the design profession.
3 Creek Ranch is located in a sensitive area of natural and scenic resources and required diligent care to develop a design that protected and enhanced those values. VLA, Inc. developed a plan that created new ponds for Trumpeter swan habitat and incorporated fish habitat along the ponds, creeks and stream within the property as well as protecting and improving wetlands.
3 Creek Ranch is an example of how residential development and protection of vital natural and scenic resources can co-exist using thoughtful design practices.
