May 2008 Fishing Report

As many of you know it's been a big winter here in Jackson Hole. After last year's lower than normal snowpack and incredibly warm early summer we desperately needed lots of snow but I gotta tell you I am over winter, I'm tired of seeing white everywhere, I don't want to see anymore white stuff falling from the sky...I want warmth, sun and green.

I am very optimistic about the upcoming fishing season. Lots of snow usually means lots of water and lots of water usually means good fishing. In addition, the work on lower Spring Creek and the maintenance work on upper Cody Creek that was completed this past winter can only help to make for a great 2008 fishing season. I can't wait to get back on the water with all of you this summer.

John Merritt will be coming back this season. John spent several months this winter in Tierra Del Fuego which is at the southern tip of Argentina. John was monitoring the migration of the huge sea run brown trout and worked at several famous fly fishing lodges. John will be happy to tell you all about his amazing adventure.
