October 2008 Fishing Report

Greetings from Jim Brungardt, the 3 Creek Ranch Fish Guy. September can offer some of the most diverse fishing we see all year here at 3 Creek Ranch. Early in the month the Sulphur hatches can be quite heavy. Then later, it's not uncommon to see both Mahogany Duns and fall Baetis hatching at the same time. Mix in great hopper fishing and September is often the best month to wet a line. With all the water around this year I expect the fall fishing to be quite good and hold up through mid-October. I hope we all have the chance to get back out on the water at least one more time before the 2008 3C fishing season comes to an end.
