The Fishing Program

Here at 3 Creek Ranch we are fortunate to be surrounded by some of the very best fly fishing in the country. Jim Brungardt TFG will help you set up all your fishing related itineraries. The fishing on 3 Creek Ranch has been set up on a "beat" system. There are four beats and to ensure good fishing for everyone each beat is rested on a regular basis. The three creeks are open to fishing from June 1st thru October 31st. These creeks are prime spawning habitat for the native cutthroats. Big numbers of spawning fish begin to show up in the creeks in early May and remain in the system until late October when they drop back into the Snake for the winter. These are fragile creeks and to protect them we have imposed the following regulations: catch and release only, dry fly fishing only and barbless hook only. Jim Brungardt TFG will accompany all property owners the first time they fish the ranch. He'll give you a tour of the three creeks along with an overview of the 3 Creek fishing program. You are fortunate to have this great "home water" and together we can keep it a special place. To book space on one of the creeks, please give Jim a call.

Your home water is great but there are lots of other great fishing opportunities for you and your guests. The fishing options around Jackson are almost limitless. If you like float fishing big rivers, wade fishing local tributaries or exploring small mountain streams and lakes we can help. If you just want to be pointed in the right direction we'll get you a map and send you on your way. If you would like to hire a guide we can help. We have a great relationship with several of the best fly shops and guides in the area and will be happy to set up all your guided fishing trips. Jim is always here to answer your questions or to make suggestions on fishing options.

The fishing around Jackson is world class but there is also a world of other great fishing to consider. For years Jim has hosted trips to destinations all over the world including: New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, Central America and Alaska. We hope to interest you in joining him on one of these trips in the future. If you ever have questions about your equipment or want his suggestions on what to take on your next trip please let him know.

Please call 307-200-6007 or stop by the Nature Center. We look forward to helping you and your guests enjoy many memorable days on the water.
