Things are off to a great start. Our most recent storms have dropped over four feet of snow at the mountain – fantastic early season coverage - and the cold temperatures have been perfect for snow making.

With more snow in the forecast this is what local meteorologist, Jim Woodmancy had to say, “due to the frequent weather systems that come across the Northwestern United States, carrying lots of Pacific moisture, which then combines with the cooler, drier air of the northern Rockies meteorologically speaking, we are ideally situated for receiving really good quality, light density, powder— what the locals refer to as “cold smoke” and this storm is delivering exactly that.”

Early season is an excellent time to consider a ski clinic as a refresher course on your turns. This year Jackson Hole’s Mountain Sports School is hosting a series of True Impact Clinics that will help beginner through expert skiers build skills, develop camaraderie, and confidently explore Jackson's legendary terrain. The clinics are two days and offer additional perks like early access to the mountain, lift line priority, a video analysis and lunch.

So dust off your skis, find your gear and make this year a unique Thanksgiving celebration at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
