Blitzen Trapper
Opening Performer: Frontier Ruckus

Date:
Saturday, July 9, 2016
Time: Doors: 8:00 pm / Show: 9:00 pm
Tickets: $16.00 - $18.00

Blitzes Trapper Bio: Over the course of 15 years and seven full-length albums, Blitzen Trapper has crafted one of the more compelling and varied catalogs in contemporary rock and roll. Indeed, singer and guitarist Eric Earley, who is also the Portland, Oregon-based band’s primary songwriter, is possessed of a musical and lyrical sensibility that is remarkably deep and wide; big ideas and universal emotions are wrung from the seemingly plainspoken details of small-screen and often highly personal stories, and set to music that reaches way, way back to old-timey folk and bluegrass, travels through everything from country, psychedelia and soul to prog, garage and metal, indulges gloriously in the classic rock of the 70s and 80s, and makes occasional side trips into hip-hop, skewed pop and noisey freakouts.

Buckethead

Date: Friday, July 15, 2016
Time: Doors: 8:30 pm / Show: 9:30 pm
Tickets: $25.00 - $28.00

Buckethead Bio: Buckethead is back after a brief hiatus from the road! His last show was New Years Eve 2012 in San Francisco. During his live appearance absence, Buckethead has released more than 200 pieces of product referred to as “pikes”. Buckethead is virtuoso guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist who encompasses several genres of music. He has released 256 studio albums, 4 special releases and an EP. He has performed on over 50 more albums by other artists. His music spans such diverse areas as progressive metal, rock, funk, blues, jazz, bluegrass, and avant-garde music.

When performing in his theatrical persona, Buckethead used to wear a KFC bucket on his head, emblazoned with an orange bumper sticker that reads "FUNERAL" in capital black block letters, and an expressionless plain white costume mask. More recently, he has switched to a plain white bucket no longer bearing the KFC logo. He also incorporates nun chucks, robot dancing, and toy trading into his stage performances. Buckethead's persona represents a character that was "raised by chickens" and has made it his "mission in life to alert the world to the ongoing chicken holocaust in fast-food joints around the globe."

JJUUJJUU Bio: An astral union, an arcane ritual, and above all, a conversation. Harnessing an unspoken energy, the duo have exponentially blossomed from a sonic experiment to a forceful, telepathic dialogue of distinct-but-aligned vibrations. - S.M. 2012

Fitz and the Tantrums Bio: Having made a splash with the soulful R&B-revival sound of their debut album, 2010’s Pickin’ Up The Pieces (released on Dangerbird Records), the band offered up a New Wave-influenced dance-pop sound with its Elektra Records debut, 2013’s Heatseekers No. 1 More Than Just A Dream, which featured the gold-certified and #1 Alternative Radio singles “The Walker” and “Out of My League.” The album’s success sent Fitz and the Tantrums on a two-year touring odyssey, which enabled the Los Angeles-based sextet — known for its explosive,  no-holds barred live shows — to cement themselves as one of the country’s hottest live acts.

Phases Bio: After over a decade of intertwined pasts making music, the Los Angeles-based quartet of friends Z Berg, Alex Greenwald, Jason Boesel, and Michael Runion were able to check off a major bucket-list box when they formed a band together in 2009. Releasing an album as JJAMZ in 2012, they returned to LA in 2013 after touring to an uncertain future. Creatively confused and encountering some interpersonal turbulence, the fate of JJAMZ seemed doomed. Feeling like it was a hopeless case, Berg announced that she was moving to Nashville to pursue a folk music career and change of scenery. Full band bio and details at: phasesmusic.com

Date:
Thursday, October 13, 2016
Time: Doors: 7:30 pm / Show: 8:30 pm
Tickets: $29.50 - $35.00

Not many bands in the current Americana landscape continue to work this hand-hammered source material and channel the primeval, cathartic origins of roots music with as much pride and power as The Devil Makes Three. This shared ideal brought Pete Bernhard, Cooper McBean and Lucia Turino together almost 15 years ago, and they've remained steadfastly together and true to their vision over a staggering number of miles and gigs. They've been simplistically tagged as everything from punk to bluegrass to rockabilly, but one sweaty show will dispel and clarify; They know their tradition, but really what they do is throw down.
