3 Creek Ranch Nordic Update, November 16, 2017
Greetings from the Nordic Center,
All things Nordic will again be based out of the Nordic Center (Golf Pro Shop) for the upcoming season. This is a warm and elegant place to meet before and after scheduled clinics, enjoy a hot refreshment and simply relax. The track will be open to Classic andSkate skiers, those on snowshoes (along the outer edge of the groomed track), snow bikes and dogs. We kindly ask everyone to be considerate and respectful of the guidelines we set forth for each of these activities.
Each season we are deeply committed to providing you with a gratifying and enriching Nordic Program. I believe we are delivering that commitment with new additions to the weekly schedule, rental equipment, and new apparel and accessories for your nordic and alpine needs from the following vendors: Craft Sportwear (www.craftsports.com); HestraGloves (www.hestragloves.com); Skida (www.skida.com); Zeal Goggles (www.zealoptics.com) andStik Women’s Beanies (www.shitthatiknit.com). We will also have great holiday gift options available in the Nordic shop from Kaenon, KJUS, Maui Jim, and Will Leather Goods.
- We will be offering full ski wax/repair services and ski storage in the NordicCenter.
- You will receive a weekly schedule every Wednesday with specific details and information about instructional clinics and off-site activities.

New this season is a limited fleet of Rental ‘touring’ cross-country skis, boots
and poles, including junior sets available in the Nordic Center.
- The Nordic Shop will be open daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm. We will be closedChristmas Eve & Day and New Year’s Day.
If you are new to Nordic skiing, or ready to upgrade your equipment, please allowme to help you choose the appropriate skis, boots, poles and clothing to ensure you get themost out of your Nordic skiing experience. Like many Outdoor Pursuits in our valley, theright equipment can and will make an important difference in how you enjoy the sport.

Nordic Schedule
Here is the Weekly Nordic Schedule outline for the upcoming winter Nordic season.I have provided a short description of the different events, but please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions. We will meet for all clinics and outings at the Nordic Center. Asalways, we begin the season when the Great Nordic Snow Gods bless us with enough snow!

Ski Tour: 9:00 AM-2:30 PM
- Tuesday
Advanced Skier Clinic: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Beginner/Intermediate Clinic: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- Wednesday
Masters Clinic / Trail Creek: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
- Thursday
Advanced Skier Clinic: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Beginner/Intermediate Clinic: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Friday Ski-Together: 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM

SKI TOUR DESCRIPTIONS
Monday Ski Tour: Every Monday we leave 3 Creek Ranch and spend the day ‘ski touring’ to a variety of locations in the valley. We are typically making our own tracks, sharing the rich stories of winter natural history and enjoying a casual day outside. We bring proper ski gear, clothing, daypack and lunch.
Tuesday/Thursday Clinics: These are a continuation of our casual and fun instructional clinics based out of the Nordic Center. Everyone is welcome to join at any ability level.
Wednesday Masters: A new addition to the schedule, we will drive over to Trail CreekNordic Center located in Wilson at the base of Teton pass. Trail creek offers challenging terrain that is important for skiers to advance to the next skill level. We will designate skate or classic technique. Daily track fee.
Friday Ski-Together: A new addition to our Nordic Schedule. Every Friday I will lead a casual and fun outing to one of the many groomed Nordic tracks in the valley and local region. We will designate whether we skate or classic, bring a yummy lunch, and simply enjoy the day skiing. Our hope is that you will continue to learn about and enjoy these otherNordic ski opportunities in the area.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. I am always available to help with finding the proper clothing and ski equipment if you are new to the sport or want to take your skate or classic ski skills to the next level.
** All clinics will be dependent on weather and track conditions. We will be sending daily track conditions and updates via Twitter. All clinics will meet at the Nordic Center.
