Via Ferrata
Opening late June
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

Looking to take your summer vacation up a few notches? Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s new Via Ferrata will do just that The “Iron Path” at the resort offers multiple routes, 6 to be exact, in it’s opening season ranging from beginner through Advanced. (Rumor is that there might be more routes added in coming years!)

With the varying degrees of difficulty and length, there is a perfect combination from: a full day route for hard-core rock enthusiasts looking to expand their arsenal activities, to a introduction to rock climbing beginner 2 hour family-friendly route, or any level in-between.

What is a Via Ferrata:
Born from the Italians in WWI, a Via Ferrata is a route through and usually up a mountain pass. Traditionally, steel cables, ladders, pegs, rungs, wooden bridges, and walkways are affixed to the mountainside. Climbers are able to attach themselves to the course allowing for a safer environment but still providing a thrill as you climb across granite walls with views over the underlying valley below.

While not for the faint of heart, no prior climbing experience is necessary.
